Ernest Jones Frick

Ernest Jones Frick, 96, Salisbury, died Wednesday (Sept. 8, 2004) at Autumn Care of Salisbury.

Born July 8, 1908, in Rowan County, Mr. Frick, a son of the late Jones Joseph and Emma Dora Eagle Frick, attended Liberty School, Gold Hill. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, Gold Hill, for 82 years.

In 1974, he retired from the North Carolina Finishing Co. dye house.

Survivors include wife Pauline Lentz Frick, whom he married May 18, 1933; son Everette Jones Frick, Kannapolis; daughters Gertrude Frances F. Bunting, Albemarle, Jean F. Misenheimer, Faith, and Earlene F. Caldwell, Salisbury; sister Fannie Lillian Gaither, Granite Quarry; half brother Baxter Morgan, Rockwell; half sisters Geneva Long, Tyro, and Pearl Swicegood, Salisbury; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Liberty United Methodist Church, Gold Hill, conducted by the Rev. Mark Helms, pastor, and the Rev. Fred Hill, former pastor. The body will be placed in the church at 10. Burial, church cemetery.

Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church fellowship hall.

Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell, is in charge.
