Notes for Julia Ann Stoner
Julia Stoner was not a sister of Levi's first wife, Crissy Stoner. Julia's grave is about 15 feet from Bringle Ferry Road where it is intersected by St Matthew’s Church Road. Her daughter Malinda is buried beside her.

Levi and Julia had seven children whose ages at death are striking:
Malinda - 36
Amanda - 73
Richard - 35
Charlie - infancy
C.G. - 90
Caroline - 38
Jones - 27.

Nelson Page remembers Amanda well. She and her husband died on 22 Sept 1947 of food poisoning. From being at their house, he does not think they had electricity. Nancy Kirk Eagle died in 1946 without ever having it.

Julia was a midwife and called Granny Frick. She delivered most of the babies in the community.

Julia lived alone for many years drawing a pension which, together with rent from the farm, supported her. She became quite feeble before she died.

A big hickory, still standing about 1990, provided shade for the log cabin in which the family lived until 1884 when a cottage was built nearby.

Julia had 29 grandchildren.
