Elias Yoak, a son of John and Margaret Catherine (Carpenter) Yoak, was born in Hardy County VA (WV) January 3, 1801 and died in Barbour County VA (WV) September 18, 1855. He married Hannah Kelley in Randolph County VA (WV) July 11, 1822. Hannah, a daughter of Ebenezer T. and Rachel (Johnson) Kelley, was born in Randolph County June 8, 1802 and died in Barbour County VA (WV) in 1843.
Elias married Margaret Goldsberry in Barbour County October 5, 1844. Margaret apparently died before the 1850 census. Known children of Elias and Hannah (Kelley) Yoak
