Notes for Ezra Perry
(Cindy)

Daniel and Mary Walker Perry begat Ezra Perry, born May 22, 1741 at Rehoboth, MA. Record of Intention of Marriage, Feb. 13, 1762 to Jemima Titus of Attleboro, MA. No marriage record found, in Rehoboth or Attelboro. Baptismal records indicate that Ezra was baptized March 14, 1741/2 at the 1st. Congregational Church of Oldtown Section of Attleboro. Between the years of 1766 and 1781 there is mention of dismissal of Ezra Perry from the 1st Precinct Church and recommended to Rehoboth. About this period a new church had been organized in Rehoboth, "the Irons Church" or Free Will Baptist in the year of 1765 in the neighborhood where Perrys lived. It may have been this church that Ezra was recommended to. Ezra Perry is listed in the Patriot Index (Vol. 1, pg. 528) Capt. Ezra Perry died in his 80th year after a long and distressing illness.
