At back end of Gordon Cemetey in bushes, there is a monument that is broken in several pieces.
The inscription on it reads:
Died June 23, 1858

Letters of administration were taken upon the estate of James Gordon of Standing Stone Twp.
T H Murray and Gordon Taylor were appointed administrators on 26 Jun 1858. Inventory was taken 28 Jun 1858 by Wm R Storrs, Asa Stevens and F S Whitmore. A sale of his estate was held on 5 Jul 1858. Among the purchasers were: Hiram Gordon, Wm H Gordon and John Gordon.
