THOMASVILLE | William "Bill" Narvae Parker, 73, of Arthur Drive, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at his home.
A memorial service will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at J.C. Green and Sons Chapel by the Rev. Bill Flemming.
Mr. Parker was born Jan. 22, 1930, in Davidson County to William N. Parker and Maggie Sullivan Parker. He was a retired employee with the federal government, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steve Parker, of Calif.;
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Fouts Parker of the home; four daughters of California; three stepdaughters, Lynda Johnson and Amy Hill, both of Lexington, and Sherry Russell of Thomasville; a sister, Kathryn Tobin of Thomasville; two brothers, Ralph Parker of Thomasville and Carson Parker of Lexington; four stepgrandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
