A.B.C. Kirk opened a bus business in 1919, first from Salisbury to Kannapolis, and then to Charlotte and Greensboro. He sold this business to Southern Coach Lines (now Carolina Trailways) in 1926. A.B.C. then founded Kirk’s Taxi Company.
