William Ralph Peeler
William "Ralph" Peeler, 86, of Misenheimer, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at his residence.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a member, in Rockwell. Burial will be in Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Peeler was born April 15, 1917, in Rowan County. He owned and operated Atlantic Oil Co. for 60 years.
Survivors include his wife, Irene W. Peeler; a son, Bill Peeler and wife, Kay, of Lexington; a stepson, Denny Wagoner of Salisbury; a daughter, Ann Peeler Cline of Rockwell; a stepdaughter, Becky Stokes of Gold Hill; a sister, Lois Surratt of Rose Hill; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Powles Funeral Home in Rockwell.
Memorials may be made to Gideon International; Bethel Baptist Church, Rockwell; and Rowan Regional Home Health & Hospice.
