Annie Almond Hatley
Sunday, December 3, 2006 ― Annie Lee Almond Hatley, 81, of 21831 Joy Road, Locust, died at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, at her home.
Her funeral was at 3 p.m. Friday with a 30-minute state in Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Elder Richard Almond officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
Born April 19, 1925, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Monroe and Myrtle Nealieann Lambert Almond and was a homemaker. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and five brothers, Clyde Almond, J.D. Almond, Clifford Almond, Ray Almond and Bobby Almond.
She is survived by her husband, John Curtis Hatley of the home; three daughters, Brenda Hatley of the home, Judy Howard of Midland and Nancy Crump of Norwood; three sisters, Carrie Hinson of Oakboro, Gaynelle Thompson of Albemarle and Frances Eudy of Statesville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle was in charge.
