Tuesday, August 23, 2011 — Patsy Lou Hatley Lambert, 72, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011, at the Lutheran Home of Albemarle.
Mrs. Lambert was born August 12, 1939, in Stanly County. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003, Harold Dean Lambert; father, James Charles Hatley; and mother, Minnie Bell Lambert Hatley; sister, Frankie Jean Murray.
She was a bookkeeper and enjoyed volunteering at Richfield Elementary School. Everyone called her “Nanna Pat”.
The family received friends from 3-5 p.m. Monday, August 22, at Canton Baptist Church of Albemarle. The funeral service began at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary officiated by Rev. Mark Mabry and Rev. Adam Hatley. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
At other times, the family will meet at her home.
Survivors include her daughters, Wendy Fink and husband Jerry, and Susan Hessman and husband Rick, all of Albemarle; brother, Buddy Hatley of Oakboro; sister, Oleamer Burleson of Albemarle; and grandchildren, Samuel Efird and Sarah Efird.
Memorials may be made to Canton Cemetery Fund, or Hospice of Stanly County.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Lambert family.
