Vernice Allman Cline
GREENVILLE - Mrs. Vernice Allman Cline, 79, of 1250 Saluda Lake Road, Greenville, S.C., formerly of Concord, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010. She was born on May 8, 1931, in Cabarrus County to the late Ray Allman and Dora Hatley Allman Tucker. A funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville, SC on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Susan J. Crowell and Rev. David J. Edenfield officiating. A visitation will be held that evening at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord from 7:30 until 9 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. At other times, the family will be meeting at 7134 Fairhill Place in Charlotte.
Vernice was a retired head bookkeeper with Citizens National Bank in Concord. She worked part time with Bank of Travelers Rest in S.C. Mrs. Cline was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville, SC. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed working with flowers in her yard.
She is survived by her husband of 59 and a half years, Ben Foy Cline Sr. of the home; sons, Ben Cline Jr. of Henderson, Kentucky and Dale Cline of Charlotte; brother, Jim Allman of Concord; grandchildren, Taylor Cline, Nicholas Cline, Lauren Cline Hinz, Matthew Cline, Sarah Cline, and Hannah Cline; great grandchildren, Haleigh Cline and Branson Cline.
