Grace Mae Almond Hatley
Grace Mae Almond Hatley, 91, of 24291 Ridgecrest Road, Ridgecrest, passed away Jan. 11, 2010, at Stanly Regional Medical Center.
Visitation was from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The service followed at 11 a.m. at Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church, Locust. The Rev. Tab Whitley and Dr. Wayne Bennett officiated. Burial followed at Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Hatley was born May 7, 1918, in Stanly County, to the late Pierson and Attie Hatley Almond. She was a member of Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob James Hatley, four brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her son, Worth James Hatley and wife, Cindy, of Trinity; daughters, Betty Hatley Whitley and husband, Truet, of Oakboro, Loudene Hatley Whitley and husband, Donnie Joe, of Albemarle, and Daisy Hatley Vickers and husband, James, of Chapel Hill; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
