John Irvin Cauble
John Irvin Cauble, 67, Salisbury, died Saturday (Oct. 14, 2000) at his home.
Born March 21, 1933, in Rowan County, Mr. Cauble was a son of the late Charlie Franklin and Vertie Ribelin Cauble. Educated at Granite Quarry High School, he was a truck driver for Akers Truck Line and Ryder Truck Line.
Former owner and operator of the Blue Goose Bar and Grill, he was a member of Union Lutheran Church and a former member of the Spencer Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, whom he married Jan. 2, 1955, Essie “Louise” McDaniel Cauble; son John Irvin Cauble Jr., Salisbury; daughters Tilda Louise Barnes, Eden, and Shelia Diane Wyatt and Selina Jane Cauble, both of Salisbury; foster son Ronnie McDaniel, Rockwell; foster daughter, Donna Flowers, Goldsboro; brothers Vernon Cauble, Raymond Cauble, Arnold Cauble, Jake Cauble and Gene Cauble, all of Salisbury; sisters Melvarine Stogner and Willie Boger, both of Salisbury, Edith Drye, Rockwell, Zara Plyler, Salisbury, and Ruth Driver, Rockwell; and four grandchildren.
Services: 4 p.m. Monday, Union Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Darrell Norris, pastor, and the Rev. Bruce Sheets, pastor, Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial, Union Lutheran Church cemetery.
Visitation: 6-9 tonight, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
Memorials: Union Lutheran Church, Fellowship Building Fund; or Rowan Regional Home Health and Hospice.
