Naomi “Inez” Ritchie Harwood
Naomi “Inez” Ritchie Harwood, 78, of Faith, died Friday (Sept. 10, 1999) at her residence.
Born April 13, 1921, in Rowan County, Mrs. Harwood was a daughter of the late Grace Beck and William J. Ritchie.
A 1938 graduate of Granite Quarry High School, Mrs. Harwood was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She served in the church nursery.
Her husband, Claude Ray Harwood, preceded her in death on March 9, 1996.
Survivors include son Larry Keith Harwood, Faith; daughter Jane H. Luther, China Grove; sisters Willette “Bette”Yates and Edith Ketner, both of Salisbury; and three grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Faith Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Charles R. Brawley, pastor. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell. At other times the family will be at the residence.
