Hoy A. Allman, 70, of Wilmington, NC died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
Born July 18, 1946 in Cabarrus County, NC, he is a son of Fred Monroe Allman and Madie Marthy Eudy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia B. Allman, and his daughter, Patti Allman.
Hoy is survived by his son, Mark Allman and his wife, Tina; his fiancé, Patricia Pipkin; and his grandchildren, Denea Allman, Christian Morales, Mark T. Allman, Jr. and Allen Biggers.
Fishing, family and friends were Hoy’s life. He moved to the Wilmington area almost exclusively for the fine fishing. He was happiest when he was spending time with his family and friends. Hoy was the former owner of Dixie Trucking in Charlotte for many years and most recently he was the proprietor of Hoy’s Produce. In his leisure, besides fishing, he enjoyed racing and especially NASCAR.
