Notes for Daniel Monroe Herrin
Dr. Williams was called to Bismarck last Saturday night to attend to Dan Herrin, who was run over by a log train near that place, and from the doctor we learn the following facts:
Herrin lives about a mile this side of Bismarck, where the dirt road crosses the railroad track. He had been to the logging camp talking with the boys, and at about eight o'clock attempted to get on a moving log train to ride to his home. On making the attempt he slipped and fell under the wheels. His back was broken and when Dr. Williams arrived there the man was dead. Herrin was about fifty years old.
