MIDLAND - Helen Bernice Lambert Barbee, 78, of 8870 Reed Mine Road, Midland, died Sunday, March 15, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast.
Mrs. Barbee was born Aug. 13, 1930, in Oakboro the daughter of the late Clarence Jerome Lambert and the late Arabelle (Lambert) Lambert.
She was a seamstress at Bob-N-Tees and a member of Pine Bluff United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Craig Jackson Barbee of the home; sons, Michael Craig Barbee and wife, Karen of Marshville and Jeffrey Lynn Barbee and wife, Annette, of Indian Trail; daughter, Shelia B. Carriker and husband, Randy, of Midland; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will meet at the home on Reed Mine Road.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Pine Bluff United Methodist Church, Midland, with the Rev. Kevin McCormac and the Rev. Jonathan Barbee officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
