On March 23, 2009, Esther Regina Kirk (nee Hooe), formerly of Silver Spring; beloved wife of the late Carson Nathaniel Kirk; devoted mother of James C. and Jeffrey C. Kirk and Judith C. Pfarr; mother-in-law of Lisa and Carolyn Kirk and Michael Pfarr, and dear grandmother of Christine Sullivan and spouse, Matt Vigliotti, Keith Kirk, Shane Heimer and spouse Jenifer Heimer, Carson Heimer and spouse Christine, Jeffrey Pfarr and Ryan Kirk. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel (6416 Sykesville Road), Sykesville. Interment will be in Colesville UMC Cemetery, Silver Spring. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD.
