GOLD HILL -- The funeral will be on Friday for Julia Morgan Earnhardt, 80, Gold Hill, who died Tuesday (June 3, 2003) at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte.
Born June 10, 1922, in Rowan County, Mrs. Earnhardt, a daughter of the late John C. and Minnie Smith Morgan, was educated in the Rowan County schools. She retired as a bus driver from the Rowan County School System and was a member of Gold Hill United Methodist Church, Salisbury Moose Lodge, and Rufty-Holmes Senior Center, Salisbury.
Her husband, James Rufus "Shorty" Earnhardt, died July 18, 1997.
Survivors include sons the Rev. John R. Earnhardt, Fair Play, S.C., Ron Earnhardt, Salisbury, and James Fatata, Raleigh; daughters Judy Fatata, Granite Quarry, and Jean Peeler, Salisbury; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Gold Hill United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. John R. Earnhardt and Jan Earnhardt. Burial, Gold Hill Cemetery.
Visitation:10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell, is in charge.
