Jewell Lambert Mills
Mrs. Jewell Lambert Mills, 70, a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at Carolinas Healthcare System-NorthEast in Concord.
Mrs. Mills was born Nov. 16, 1944, in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Rev. Rufus Leroy Lambert and Juanita Adams Lambert. She worked as hairstylist at Tate's Hair Design and later owned and operated her own beauty salon, Jewell's Beautyrama. She also ran a cared for veterans out of her home for 44 years.
Jewell was a member of Eastside Freewill Baptist Church, where her father ministered.
Mrs. Mills is survived by her husband, James Mills; two daughters, Jamie Adams and Tonya Fritts, both of Kannapolis; sister Loretta Callicutt of Kannapolis; brother Wayne Lambert of Kannapolis; granddaughter Brooke Broadway of New York; her fur baby, Sophie; and her grand-fur baby, Penny.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
