RICHFIELD -- The funeral will be Saturday for Floyd Mitchell "Mick" Barringer, 64, Richfield, who died Wednesday (June 5, 2002) at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Albemarle.
Born June 16, 1937, in Rowan County, Mr. Barringer, a son of the late Barney Albert and Dora Elizabeth Morgan Barringer, was educated in the Stanly County schools.
He retired as owner and operator of Barringer Radiator, Charlotte, and formerly owned and operated Golden Hand Sewing. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, Albemarle.
Survivors include wife Millie Ann Sides Barringer, whom he married Oct. 23, 1955; sons Billy and Floyd Barringer, both of Richfield, and Larry Barringer, Rockwell; daughters Debra Morris, New London, and Denise Laxton, Millingport; brothers Coleman Barringer, New London, and Junior Barringer, Misenheimer; sisters Geneva Roberson and Edna Fraley, both of High Point; eight grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Services:1 p.m. Saturday, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell, conducted by the Rev. Andrew Ball, pastor, Christian Fellowship Church, Albemarle. Burial,Brookhill MemorialGardens, Rockwell.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials: Hospice of Stanly County.
