ROCKWELL - A private memorial service will be held at a later date for William 'Bill' Alexander Poole, 73, Rockwell, who died Monday (Sept. 24, 2001) at The Meadows Retirement Center.
Born Jan. 13, 1928, in Rowan County, Mr. Poole, a son of the late Lawson and Lula Poole, was educated in the Rowan County schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a Baptist and was a construction foreman.
Survivors include son Donald Poole, Salisbury; daughters Glenda Jones and Pam Koontz, both of Salisbury, Sharon Holder, Newton, and Cindy Harmon, Rockwell; brother Alvin Poole, Rockwell; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Evergreen Cremation Service, in charge.
