J.W. “Cabbage” Shepherd, 88, of Salisbury, NC passed away Tuesday February 27, 2018 at The Autumn Care of Salisbury. He was born on September 16, 1929, in Rowan County to the late Mary Shepherd Prospt.
J.W. retired from Ridenhour Supply. He was a member of Trading Ford Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a son, Lorne Shepherd, and brother, Fred Propst and son-in-law, Thomas Jordon.
He is survived by his sons, Dennis Shepherd, William “Mark” Shepherd (Cindy), and Steve Shepherd (Brenda) daughters, Donna Keener and Ann Jordan, all of Salisbury, sister, Mary Propst Beal of Southmont, eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren
Visitation: Friday, March 2, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Trading Ford Baptist Church, 3600 Long Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, March 2, 2018 at Trading Ford Baptist Church.with the Rev. Mike Motley officiating, burial will be in church cemetery.
Memorials: Can be made to Trading Ford Baptist Church.
