Hearne was born Jan. 17, 1936 in North Carolina. He lived in Stockton for 12 years. Hearne was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He served for 20 years in the Air Force.
Survivors: wife, Margaret Hearne of Stockton; children, Jennifer Hearne of Hollywood and James Hearne of Valley Springs; siblings, Norman Hearne, Harold Hearne, Novella Roberson, all of North Carolina, Grady Hearne of Iowa, John Hearne of Sacramento, Edith Briggs of Tennessee and Robert Hearne of West Virginia; and two grandchildren.
