Martha Frances Bell Rimer
FLORENCE, SC - Martha Frances Bell Rimer, 89, of Florence, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 in McLeod Hospice House after an illness.
Mrs. Rimer was born in Stanly County, NC, a daughter of the late Price and Nellie Ross Bell. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she had been a member of the Choir and had taught Sunday School.
Surviving are her husband of 72 years, Willie James "Bill" Rimer of Florence; daughters, Judy Sharon (Charles) Waddell of Winston-Salem, N.C., Linda (Don) Adams of Charlotte, N.C., Brenda (Daniel) Thompson of Effingham and Sybil Riddle of Asheville, N.C.; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Price Bell and 2 sisters, Margaret Smith Greeley and Mary Elizabeth Bell Townsend.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church, with entombment following at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
