Hazel Hatley
Hazel Louise Troutman Hatley, 63, of 1907 Hemlock Dr., Albemarle, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Britthaven of Piedmont in Albemarle. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. A private service will be conducted. Burial will be at Matton’s Grove UMC Cemetery in Gold Hill.
Born March 27, 1944 in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Alexander and Jennie Lynn Thompson Troutman. A school bus driver for the Stanly County School System, her life focused on raising her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Centerview Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Tonya Coffel and Tina Faulkner, both of Albemarle, and Trina Poc of Indian Trail; a brother, Walter Troutman of Albemarle; a sister, Dorothy Mabe of Albemarle; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
