Myrtle Blalock Burleson
Myrtle Blalock Burleson, 83, of the 700 block of Severn Drive, passed away June 21, 2007, in Virginia Beach, VA.
A native of Albemarle, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Jane Blalock. She retired as a hairdresser in Petersburg, VA where she belonged to the Second Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Burleson Jackson of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Lena Sells of Albemarle, NC; three grandchildren, James G. Jackson, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Teresa Jackson Washington of Virginia Beach, VA and Nancy Jackson of Richmond, VA; ten great grandchildren, Sarah Jones, Aaron Jones, Matthew Jones, Rebecca Bayles, Daniel Jones, Emily Jones, Jimmy Jackson III, Joshua Washington, Ryan Washington and Gabrielle Washington; and one great-great grandson, Aiden Bayles.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel is handling the arrangements.
