STANFIELD -- Margie Herrin Hatley, 60, of 4557 Hwy. 200, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at NorthEast Medical Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hartsell Funeral Chapel in Midland. Elder Rom Kerley will officiate. Burial will be at Hatley's Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakboro.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. At other times they will be at the home of a son, Gary Hatley, at 5036 Rushing Road in Stanfield.
Born April 16, 1941, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of Claude M. Herrin and the late Bertha Gheen. She was a homemaker and a member of Hatley's Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Ervin Hatley of Stanfield; her father and stepmother, Claude M. and Rachel Herrin of Mount Pleasant; three sons, Donnie Hatley and wife Stacy, Gary Hatley and wife Sandy and Ronnie Hatley and wife Alisa, all of Stanfield; a daughter, Teresa Love and husband Robbie of Stanfield; two brothers, Eugene Herrin of Oakboro and Jimmy Ray Herrin of Wilson; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hatley's Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Stanfield, NC; or to the Arthritis Foundation Carolinas Chapter, Charlotte, NC.
