Tuesday, September 3, 2013 — Pamela D. Carter, 47, of New London, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 in the Hospice House of Rockingham County.
Her funeral service was at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013 at First Assembly of Albemarle with Pastor Bob Gruver, Rev. Steve Saunders and Rev. Boyd Joyce officiating. Burial followed in the Palestine Cemetery.
The family received friends at First Assembly from 1:30-2:30 p.m. prior to the hour of service.
Born March 21, 1966 in Stanly County to the late Dwight Lee Carter and Margaret Fraley Carter, she was a graduate of South Rowan High School, Stanly Community College and Training to Reign Ministries.
She was a High School English teacher at Wescare Christian Academy. A member of Albemarle Wesleyan Church, she was very active in the Piedmont Emmaus Community and was involved in the life of Albemarle Wesleyan Church. She was a talented singer and loved her family.
She is survived by sister, Kelley Carter Craven and nephew Landon Craven of Battle Creek, Michigan, a number of cousins and special friends, Pat and Wallis Merricks of Reidsville.
