NEW LONDON -- Alma Jones Fraley, 82, 37685 Saw Mill Road, died Sunday (June 15, 2003) at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Albemarle.
Born April 17, 1921, in Stanly County, Mrs. Fraley, a daughter of the late David A. and Daisy Richardson Jones, was of the Methodist faith. She retired from Wiscassett Mill Co.
Her husband, John Spencer Fraley, died Feb. 21, 1980.
Survivors include sons John Wayne Fraley, Stanfield, John Spencer Fraley Jr., Norwood, and Michael Lamarr Fraley, Albemarle; daughters Margaret Fraley Carter and Juanita Fraley Wilhoit, both of Albemarle, and Linda Jane Fraley, of the home; sister Opal Wagoner, Connecticut; 14 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Stanly Funeral Home chapel, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. Bob Forward and the Rev. Boyd Joyce. Burial, Randall's United Methodist Church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
