Arthur Murry Trexler, 83, Salisbury, died Tuesday (Oct. 3, 2000)at Spencer Health Care, Spencer.
Born April 3, 1917, in Rowan County, Mr. Trexler was a son of the late James and Bessie Eller Trexler. He was educated in the Rowan County schools.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and had worked in the sawmill industry. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
Services: Graveside, 11:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Matthew's Lutheran Church cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Bill Jeffcoat, pastor.
Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
Memorials: St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 9275 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
