Ada Mae Shinn Rinehardt

Mrs. Ada Mae Shinn Rinehardt, 90, of Rockwell, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. She was born December 14, 1923, in Rowan County to the late Walter James and Vergie Holshouser Shinn.

Mrs. Rinehardt attended Rowan County Schools, was a member of Grace Lower Stone Church, and worked as a spinner at Cannon Mills. She loved to quilt and work in her garden.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rinehardt was preceded in death by her husband, William Carson Rinehardt; brothers, Herman, Floyd, and Coy Ray Shinn; and sister, Margie Harwood.

She is survived by two daughters, Faye Fesperman and husband, Randy of Salisbury and Wanda Goodman and husband, David of Salisbury; two sisters, Ruby Harkey and Mildred Walker; three grandchildren, David Earnhardt and wife, Melissa, Timmy Earnhardt and wife, Melissa, and Ramey Fesperman and wife, Amanda and three great-grandchildren, Winter Earnhardt and Luke and Levi Fesperman.

The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home in Rockwell from 1:00 to 2:15 PM on Monday, February 24.

The service will follow, in the chapel of Powles Funeral Home, at 2:30 PM on Monday, conducted by Rev. Spencer Swain.

Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Magnolia Gardens and the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House for their love and care of Mrs. Rinehardt.

Memorials may be made to the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
