James Lincoln "Jim" Bridges, 73, of Concord, NC, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center – Northeast, Concord, NC.
Mr. Bridges was born February 12, 1938, in Wilkes County, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Hatley Bridges; wife, Linda Bruchette Bridges; father, Clarence V. Bridges; and mother, Cecil Elizabeth Loftin Bridges.
He was a veteran from the U. S. Army and worked as a mechanic for Penske.
The visitation will be 7 – 9 p.m., Monday, March 14, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, officiated by Rev. Thant McManus. Military graveside rites will be presented by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. At other times, the family will meet at his home.
Survivors include sons, Troy Bridges of Concord and Tony Bridges of Midland; daughter, Connie Bridges and Pete Dusel of Midland; step-son, Jeff Bruchette; and nine grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.
