Ricky Dale Hill, 61, of Salisbury passed away June 29, 2017 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
He was born April 8, 1956 in Rowan County to the late Grace Hartman Hill and the late Daniel McCoy Hill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, brother Harry (Peanut) Hill and nephew Jason Hill.
After attending East Rowan Schools, Ricky became a truck driver. After many years as a truck driver for Isenhour / Boral Brick, he was employed by NCDOT as an equipment operator and truck driver.
He enjoyed his job, family and friends. He also enjoyed talking on the CB radio, boating, fishing, camping and campfires.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving estranged wife Deanna Cranfield Hill of Trinity; daughter April Dawn Hill of Salisbury, step daughter Katherine (Katie) Cordell Thomas of Albemarle; step sons: Mitchell Blalock of Salisbury, Tony Cantrell of Salisbury; 8 step grandchildren; brothers: Coy Hill and wife Edna, Kenneth (Hunt) Hill and wife Becky, Billy (Bic) Hill and wife Cindy of Salisbury, Gary (Tater) Hill and wife Joan of Thomasville and sister Hazel Charles and husband Johnny of Lexington.
Visitation: 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Monday, July 3, 2017 at Rowan Memorial Park, Chapel in the Pines.
Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 3, 2017 at Rowan Memorial Park, Chapel in the Pines with the Rev. Bruce Graham officiating.
Memorials may be sent to Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in his memory.
