Harry Eugene "Peanut" Hill
Mr. Harry Eugene "Peanut" Hill, 68, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014, at Novant Health-Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born August 24, 1945 in Rowan County, NC to the late Grace Viola Hartman and Daniel McCoy Hill.
Peanut attended Rowan County Schools and was employed by Ronald E. Rogers Trucking for over 35 years. He was a CB Radio enthusiast, loved cutting wood and collecting lawn mowers. Peanut was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, whom he married March 26, 1986, Mrs. Linda Theresa Hill; children, Brenda Burleson and husband, Tony, of Woodleaf, Sandra Propst of Salisbury, Harry Hill, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC, Candy Michelle Hill of Concord, Daniel Alexander Hill of Salisbury, Allen James Tetreault, Jr., of Salisbury, and Amber Marie Poole of Richfield.
Peanut is also survived by brothers, Coy Hill and wife, Edna, Kenneth Hill and wife, Becky, Gary Hill and wife, Joan, Rick Hill and wife, Deanna, and Bic Hill and wife, Cindy; sister, Hazel Charles and husband, Johnny; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 30 from 1:45 to 2:45 PM at Powles Funeral Home in Rockwell.
There will be a graveside service that follows at 3:00 PM Monday at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell, conducted by Rev. Michael Herring.
Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the family.
