MOORESVILLE - David Bridget Morgan, 94, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

He was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Morgan Township in Rowan County to the late John Alexander and Nancy Jane Fraley Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a World War II veteran serving 20 years in the U.S. Navy.

He retired as Director of Telecommunications from NSA after 20 years of service. He was a member of Troutman Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Jessie Proctor Morgan; son Michael David Morgan; sisters Pattie Newell, Hattie Howard, Roxie Clark, Betty Morgan; and brothers Matthew, A.D., Cletus, Hilbreand and John Morgan.

He is survived by his children, Gerald Paul Morgan and wife Androniki of Virginia, Janet Morgan Rivenbark and husband Wrenn of Mooresville, Sherry Graves and husband Danny of Charlotte; sister Ann Forrest of Greenville, S.C.; and grandson Kevin Morgan Graves.

Service and Visitation: Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 at Troutman Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Kramm officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, Statesville, NC.
