Ruby Wagoner Wiles

ROCKWELL -- Ruby Wagoner Wiles, 84, North Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Rockwell, died Monday (Sept. 22, 2003) at Grandstrand Regional Hospital, Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Born March 19, 1919, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Wiles was a daughter of the late Ed and Eva Mae Frick Wagoner. She was educated in the Rowan County schools and attended Trinity Wesleyan Church, Salisbury. She retired from Nazareth Children's Home, where she was a house parent and dietitian.

Her husband, Ervin Charlie Wiles, died June 27, 1994.

Survivors include son Jack E. Wiles, Rockwell; daughter Kathy W. Robinson, North Myrtle Beach; brothers Earl D. Wagoner, Rockwell, Norman Wagoner, Salisbury, and Hamp Wagoner, Misenheimer; sisters Ethel Stancil, Kannapolis, Polly Lauchman, Charlotte, Rachel Shoaf, Salisbury, and Brenda Taylor, Rockwell; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Powles Funeral Home chapel, conducted by the Rev. W. Lee Cockerill, pastor, Trinity Wesleyan Church, Salisbury. Burial, Brookhill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at Hampton Inn, Salisbury.

Memorials: Nazareth Children's Home.
