Sunday, April 16, 2006 — Pearline Shaver Chandler, 88, of 24624 S U.S. Hwy 52, Albemarle, died at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006, in the Lutheran Home in Albemarle.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Sunday at graveside in Anderson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. the Rev. Dan Abernathy officiated.
Born Feb. 19 1918, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Verta Lela Mauldin Shaver and was retired from Wiscassett mills as a winder after 35 years of service.
Her husband, Clarence Edward Chandler, preceded her in death in November 1993. A sister, Hazel Rummage, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Wayne Chandler, a daughter, Phyllis Faulkner, a brother, J.T. Shaver Jr., and a sister Louise S. Deese, all of Albemarle; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle was in charge.
