Brenda Kathryn Bame Ashley of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at The Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury.
She was born September 12, 1946 in Rowan County, NC to the late Hoy and Flora Brown Bame. She attended school at Salisbury High School and Salisbury Business College. Brenda worked as a Medical Secretary for Dr. Harold Newman.
She was a member of Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith where she previously served on the Women's Guild, Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class, and Consistory. She also served as chairperson for Relay For Life Team and was a Girl Scout Leader.
Brenda enjoyed spending time at her beach home at Cherry Grove, NC, time with her grandchildren, and cruises with the Wheelers.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her Husband, Joseph G. Ashley, Brother, William Bame, Brother, Max Bame, and her Sister, Tillie Wilkie.
Brenda is survived by her Daughter, Jody (David) Hood of Salisbury, NC; Son, Brian (Lindsay) Ashley of Little River, SC; Three Grandsons, Tanner Hood, Shaw Ashley, Lochlan Ashley; and Granddaughter, Kathryn Carlson.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Powles Staton Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
The funeral service will be held at Powles Staton Funeral Home on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Reformed Church Cemetery with Pastor Richard Myers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Shiloh Reformed Church, Faith, NC; or Trinity Oaks Health & Rehab, Salisbury, NC.
