Raney Troutman

LANDIS - Raney Edward Troutman, 88, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 19, 2013, at the Tucker Hospice House.

Born Oct. 13, 1924, in Gold Hill, he was a son of the late Nat Alexander and Matti Taylor Troutman. A graduate of Rockwell High School, he had honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, during World War II. A heavy mortar crewman, he had served in the European Theatre.

Mr. Troutman retired from Cannon Mills as a loom fixer and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Pauline Deal Troutman, on March 13, 2013. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Mr. Raney is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10-11 a.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove.

Service: Funeral services to remember and celebrate his life will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel conducted by the Revs. Benny Burgess and Barry Kemp. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of West Lawn Memorial Park, with military rites conducted by the Rowan County and North Carolina Veterans Honor Guards.
