Tuesday, July 10, 2007 — Grady Frick, 80, of Albemarle died at 6:50 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2007, in Stanly Regional Medical Center.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tab Whitley will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.
Born May 28, 1927, in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Arnold Lee and Mary Jane Holt Frick and was a retired employee of Merita Bakery. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the European Theatre in World War II.
His wife, Mildred Clayton Frick, preceded him in death April 21, 1999, and a son, Steve Frick, May 3, 2004.
He is survived by two sons, Joe Frick and wife, Rachel, of Greensboro, and Keith Frick and wife, Pat, of Albemarle; a daughter, Wendy Landis and husband, Mike, of Albemarle; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Frick of Albemarle; two sisters, Louise Culp of Badin and Rachel Hamilton of Norwood; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stanly Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
