Sunday, January 14, 2007 — Annie “Ann” L. Efird Ashe, 91, of 3901 Rocky River Place, Harrisburg, died at 4:25 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, in First Assembly Living Center.

Her funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Providence Baptist Church in Harrisburg, where she was a charter member. The Rev. John Cashwell will officiate and burial will be in Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Locust. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 to 2:30, preceding the service.

Born May 9, 1915, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Ezeriel Elias and Rellie Hatley Lambert and was employed by Collins & Aikman. A resident of First Assembly Living Center and a former resident of Stanly County, she was a member of The Becky Perkins Sunday School Class and Providence Baptist Prime Timers. She loved to shop and travel.

She was first married to C.B. Efird Jr., who died in 1968, and second to Alvin Ashe, who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Donna Morris Morgan, and two brothers, Buford Lambert and Lonnie Lambert.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Morris of Harrisburg; two granddaughters, Kim Waddington of Concord and Susan Glovier of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; and a brother, Lloyd Lambert of Albemarle.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is in charge.
