HAMPTON - Gilie J. Colvard, 84, died Thursday, April 5, in Northampton Convalescent Center.
A native of Stanley County, N.C., Mrs. Colvard was a Peninsula resident for 30 years and a member of North Riverside Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth C. Cantrell and Jean C. Morris, both of Newport News; one brother Gerald B. James of Eden, N.C.; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Peninsula Memorial Park by Dr. R. Furman Kenney.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to North Riverside Baptist Church. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge.
