Beatrice Overcash
Mrs. Beatrice Brady Overcash, 89, of Rockwell, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Autumn Care Nursing Home.
Born on June 5, 1928, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Alvin and Helen Kluttz Brady. Mrs. Overcash was a longtime member of West A. Church of God, and worked for many years for Cannon Mills. She enjoyed gardening and loved her family very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Bill” Overcash; and her sister, Rachel Castor.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alesia Lewis (Butch); and her grandchildren, Sydney Lewis, Brad Boling (Melinda) and Collin Lewis.
Visitation and Service: Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 6, from 1 til 2 p.m., at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral to follow at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home with Rev. Greg Sloop, minister. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord.
The family would like to thank the staff of Autumn Care Nursing Home for their love and compassion shown to Mrs. Overcash.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West A. Church of God, Kannapolis; or North Hills Christian School, Salisbury.
