FAITH - Nora "Pete" Catherine Misenheimer, 89, of Faith, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks.

Mrs. Misenheimer was born May 22, 1923 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Lillie Mesimer Misenheimer and Roy Misenheimer.

She was a graduate of Rockwell High School and had retired from Cannon Mills Plant #1 in Kannapolis. Mrs. Misenheimer was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, May Trexler Sunday School Class, Lutheran Women, and was awarded the Outstanding Citizen of Faith in 2001 by the Faith Jaycees. Mrs. Misenheimer enjoyed family, cooking for family and was known for being a very sweet person.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Misenheimer was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Eugene Misenheimer; grandchildren, Patricia Young and Brian Borders; brother, Homer Misenheimer and sister, Velma McNeil.

Survivors include her son, Lester Misenheimer and wife Ann, of Willow Springs; brother, Charles Misenheimer and wife Margaret of Rockwell; grandchild, Cathy Simpkins and husband Jimmie of Willow Springs; two great-granddaughters, Ashley Young and Cassidy Simpkins; two great-grandsons, Mason Young and Trey Simkins; and two great-great- grandchildren, Riley and Memphis Simpkins.

Services: Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church by Pastor Randy Conley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:45 a.m. before the funeral in the family life center.

Memorials:Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Building Fund.
