Betty Almond Hinson
Betty Almond Hinson, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, NC passed away January 13, 2016 at her home. Her funeral will be Saturday, January 16 at 11 AM in Coldwater Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Posey officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11 prior to the service. The burial will follow the service at Herrins Grove Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
Born January 30, 1932 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Lee Allman and Essie Hatley Allman. Betty was a graduate from Ridgecrest School and worked in the linen department at Stanly Memorial Hospital. She loved gardening and working in her yard as well as her Sunday school class at Coldwater Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hinson is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Pless Hinson. She is survived by one son, Randy Pless Hinson (Beverly) of Mt. Pleasant, one daughter, Karen Hinson Jones (Roger) of Oakboro, two sisters, Patsy Smith of Concord and Gail Cauble of Soddy Daisy, TN. Other survivors include one grand-daughter, Courtney Capotosta (Tony), and three grandsons, Cameron Jones, Jonathon Pless Hinson and Brett Charles Hinson.
The family would like to wish a special thanks to all her loving caregivers.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie at 960 North First Street Albemarle NC 28001.
