Margaret Ethel Hathcock Dick, 89, of 1930 Woodhaven Court, Albemarle, died at 2:52 p.m. Monday Sept. 10, 2007, at her home.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. David Hatley will officiate and burial will be in Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Born July 30, 1918, in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late Riley Lee and Eliza Clementine Story Hathcock and was a homemaker. Her family was her life.
She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.
She was married to Ishmael Monroe Dick, who preceded her in death in July 15, 2002.
Survivors include three sons, William Dick of Wingate, Sonny Richards and wife, Elaine, of Albemarle and Tommy Dick and wife, Teresa, of Rutherfordton; a daughter, Patricia James and husband, Larry, of Lexington; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and special nieces and nephews, Marguerite Sherman, Jane, Judy, Linda Morton and Charles “Buddy” Morton.
A daughter Donna Cagle, and 11 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm. today at Stanly Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Stanly County Humane Society.
