Gaston “Chip” Eudy

Thursday, June 20, 2013 — Gaston “Chip” Eudy, 81, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday June 12, 2013 in Trinity Place.

His funeral service was at 2 p.m. Saturday June 15, 2013 at Randall United Methodist Church with Rev. Nathan Hammill officiating.

Burial followed in the Church Cemetery. The family received friends on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Stanly Funeral Home.

Born March 26, 1932 in Stanly County, N.C., he was the son of the late Daniel A. Eudy and Effie Mae Hatley Eudy. He was a retired employee of Efird Mills and was a painter. Mr. Eudy was a member of the Methodist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife Syble Lomax Eudy on October 8, 2002.

Other survivors include a son, Mark L. Eudy of Albemarle, N.C., a daughter, Amy Jo Eudy-Knox of Albemarle, N.C., two brothers: J.C. Eudy of Albemarle, N.C. and Melvin “Bob’ Eudy of Oakboro, N.C., two sisters: Helen Burleson of Raleigh, N.C. and Myrtle Mabry of Norwood, N.C., four grandchildren: Michael Eudy, Tiffany Eudy, Quasar Knox and Jordan Eudy Knox, three great-grandchildren: Jayden A. Eudy, Aiden A. Eudy and Zada Knox.
