GRAY: Elizabeth Batchelor "Betty" Gantt, 76, of North Cross Road, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, April 02, 2009, in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Gray, with interment at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray. Dr. Steve Albanese will officiate.
Mrs. Gantt was born January 29, 1933, in Atlanta and had lived in Gray for the past thirty-nine years. She was the daughter of the late Fritz E. Batchelor and Ruth Davis Batchelor. Mrs. Gantt was a member of First Baptist Church of Gray where she attended the Lois Glawson Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene Winford Gantt; daughter: Mary Louise Gantt; grandson: Daniel Gantt; and a brother: Bill Batchelor.
Mrs. Gantt is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Rebecca and Brett Moore of Warner Robins; sons and daughters-in-laws: Mike and Robin Gantt of Gray and David and Perrin Gantt of Gray; sisters: Martha Curry of Buford and Marion Powell of Temple; brother: Jim Batchelor of Riverdale; and by her five grandchildren.
