Mary Elizabeth Stoner
Mary Elizabeth (Waller) Stoner, 88, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Autumn Care of Salisbury Nursing Facility, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Carl Lee Stoner, Sr.
Mary was born on January 30, 1928 in Rowan County, NC to the late Grover and Annie (Barger) Waller. She worked as a spinner and sweeper at the former Salisbury Cannon Mills for most of her life and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Salisbury.
Mary enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her three children: daughter Diane Waynick and husband Richard of Salisbury, daughter Vickie Dunn and husband John of Hendersonville, and son Carl Lee Stoner, Jr. and wife Ann of Salisbury; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11 am at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell with Rev. Sean Barrett officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Autumn Care of Salisbury.
